Some Mobs go attack the Sagamu Road Police Division inside the Ikorodu area of Lagos State on Thursday and attempt to burn am down.
PUNCH Metro say the mob dey uncontrollable after dem demand for three suspects wey dey arrested in connection with the death and butcher of one seven-year -old boy dey rejected.
The police division later call for reinforcement.The mob dem later make way as police sharperly carry the suspects dem go the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department , Yaba. Gist dey say the seven-year -old dey among many children for the premises of one orthodox church when he suddenly lost on Wednesday. PUNCH Metro say some residents , around 2 pm on Thursday see one of the suspects wey he name na Eric, as he carry one sack wey dey drip of blood . When dey challenge am, he rush abandone the sack and make way as he run. Dey later gbab and arrest am.
When dey search the sack, dey see some body parts of the victim inside.
A police source say the incident cause serious gbege for the community.
He say, “The boy was on the premises of a white garment church when he was abducted . He was beheaded and his head buried in the church. One of the suspects was caught and he took them to the church where the boy’ s head was buried . When the pastor was interrogated, he said some people asked him to use the head for a ritual to make his church grow .
“The police arrested some other suspects in connection with the crime . They were still interrogating them at the Sagamu Road Police Division when a mob attacked the station and asked the police to release the suspects to them for jungle justice .
“When they were about to burn down the station , the police called for reinforcement and sent the suspects to the SCIID, Yaba. ”
The spokesperson for the state police command , Olarinde Famous-Cole , say the suspects don confessed to the crime .
He say, “ The head was buried , while the body was kept in a canal. The case has been transferred to the SCIID for further investigation .”
