Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, don direct the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, to sharperly release N1.6 billion to 16 states wey flood affect.
Senior Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, yarn so to the state house correspondents after the Federal Executive Council meeting. Adesina say the funds dey come from the Federal Government Ecological Account with the CBN.
He say the money go dey release directly to the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, for onward distribution to the affected states dem.
The states wey go get the money na Ekiti, Osun, Akwa Ibom, Kebbi, Niger, Kwara, Ebonyi, Enugu, Abia, Oyo, Lagos, Plateau, Sokoto, Edo and Bayelsa.
