The prosecutor, Sgt . Duro Adekunle , yarn the court say the accused flog him son, Adebayo Uthman to death on Monday, July 31, for dem house wey dey Abidogun Zone 7 area of Osogbo, Osun State sake of say the boy steql dem neighbour belt.
He yarn say the offence contravene Section 319 ( 1) of the Criminal Code , Cap 34 Vol . 11 Laws of Osun, 2003.
Defence counsel, Mudashiru Balogun, pray make the court to grant him client bail on liberal terms.
Balogun say the case file wey dey release from the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions indicte manslaughter charge against him client. The courtbno gree the plea of the defendant.
The Magistrate, Mrs Fatimoh Sodamade, don order remand of the defendant for police custody and amendment of the charge to reflect manslaughter as the DPP yarn.
The case was adjourned.
