The fire happen for Akamkpe girls hostel inside the Cross River College of Education.
Dem say na around 11am the fire start, but many students dem don already go for lectures before the fire happen. Na only one girl wey dey sleep inside her hostel when the fire start faint cos of the smoke from the fire.
We hear say na switch over cause the fire as the engineer been wan pump water, but no light, he con forget to change am back, as dem on generator the switch just begin burn. Nobody pooff for the matta.
