Enugu state governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi honor Enugu-born Paralympian, Mrs. Lucy Ejike, wey smash world record to win gold medal for the recent PARALYMPICS wey hold ground for Rio De Janerio, Brazil.
Lucy Ejike, shattered the Paralympic and world record three successive times as she win gold with one lift of 142kg.
The governor reward her with One million naira and a plot of land for Enugu.The Gold Medalist, Mrs. Ejike thank the governor for the kind gesture and pray say God to continue to blessing am abundantly. Mrs. Ejike show excitement say she dey remembered and appreciated for her efforts in the past 16 years.
Ejike first break the Paralympic record by lifting 136kg before subsequently adding lifts of 138kg and 142kg to seal the world record and hand Nigeria with their third gold medal of the Games.
