NEWS: Osun pensioners block state secretariat onto unpaid arrears

Pensioners for Osun State on Friday storm the State Secretariat to protest and demand for payment of dem pension arrears and gratuities.


The pensioners start the fresh protest on Thursday and continue early Friday morning before workers resume work .
The protesters lock the main gate and the second gate to prevent workers to go inside.
The pensioners sing war song. Some of them blocke the gates , while others line up with placards near the main road and start to dey abuse the governor .
Policemen , operatives of the Department of State Services and Nigeria Security and Civil Defeñce Corps dey ground to ensure say the protest no dey hijacked.
One of the leaders of the pensioners, Mr . Yemi Lawal , yarn journalists say dem no go allow any worker to go inside the Secretariat
He say the state government dey owe them 12 -month pensions and the gratuities of those wey retired between 2008/ and 2012.
He accuse Governor Rauf Aregbesola of planning to divert the second tranche of N12 ,7 billion Paris Club loan refund .
