The Federal government yesterday don sack 22 senior officials of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria FAAN.
Top directors, general managers and deputy general managers get dem termination letters as some general managers don dey demoted. Source for the Ministry of Aviation say the sack na part of efforts by the Federal government to reduce the monthly overhead of the ministry as most of the top management officers get replicated duties.
The termination of appointments come after one petition by some persons over the unlawful promotion and placing of some junior staff and new entrants enter the ministry. Dem say some of the top managers wey dey employed by the former Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, na fresh graduate from University in the last 5 years and dem get the post of manager even without any experience. Some of those managers don dey demoted to their appropriate levels.
