On Sunday, June 11, 2017 sympathisers gathered to mourn the death of one pregnant woman and her two-year-old son wey electricity pooff for Alare Compound of Aremo inside Ibadan North-East LGA.
The incident happen as the woman dey spread some clothes wey she wash for wire of her house when electricity GBE her, as she shout, her son hear her just rush go meet and hug her, na so electricity take pooff dem two.
One eye witness say: “a nearby hotel had connected a wire to a house to provide illumination for passers-by at night. Unknown to the deceased, who was four months pregnant, the insulator on the wire had worn off. As she was spreading her clothes on it, she was electrocuted. She screamed, attracting the innocent boy, who ran to his mum. He too got electrocuted on the spot.”
Oyo state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adekunle Ajisebutu, say the bodi dem don dey Adeoyo General Hospital mortuary for autopsy and say investigation don start ontop the matter.
